i’m in hell.

i’d love to know what you really thought!

but it’s really, it’s just
ray’s hell burger

turkey burger. sweet potato fries. guac.
and of course a dc.

matt may have enjoyed his too but you couldn’t guess.
he was enjoying the quad date we were on (not with each other).
“i’m gonna cut you”

and then there were the mustache cookies.
a “nod” to france. don’t ask.

p.s. highlight of the evening was not the food or the mustaches
rather the fact my life flashed before my eyes
as we drove into on coming traffic in the pouring rain

good times!
seriously, we all were laughing so hard
because “not said driver” and my date, well, he shocked us all.
enough said. xoxo

i’m so grateful for friends that can make me LAUGH so hard my stomach hurts.
really if you only knew how one could choose between a hairball and a bandaid.

these are the days i’m so happy to be where i am. period.

dinner with janie.

saturday we hit the day running, with a 5-mile jog through arlington (yeah, for 1/2 marathon training)!

went on to dinner later in evening with the crew at old ebbitt’s grill.

great company with patti & phil; the newly engaged couple.

russell, carey, sara and matt also joined us.

we made it to sunday, with church, the laker’s game, and a fun dinner at patti’s.

sad to see you go janie! can’t wait until the cherry blossom festival!

adventures in dc.

so great to see janie – in from utah for a quick trip around dc.
our weekend consisted of yummy dinners and laughs of course.

we started off on friday night in georgetown…
fantabulous cupcakes (thanks matt) from baked & wired.

matt sure does know me – go figure we just met!

the first dinner of the weekend - paolo’s ristorante in georgetown.

the server used an ipad to show the desserts! but we had our own…

yes, we did eat them all. i will claim 3/4 of the red velvet and 1/4 of the texas sheet cake.
the rest will be attributed to the nameless.

matt the famous tour guide took us to see some non-traditional sites across the city.

this was our stop at the national japanese-american memorial.

we also stopped at the canadian embassy’s echo chamber, the victims of communism memorial,
the gandhi memorial, and spotted some seriously cool embassy’s on embassy row.

onto day two of the trip…

it was still a fun filled belated birthday party for sara, patti and phil.

with…homemade treats.

exploding bottles of dc.

good times.

until next year.

my love affair with nyc.

New York. In November. Amazing. Simply Wonderful.

I’m in love. I’m having an affair with NYC. It’s my new fling.

I want to sneak away every chance I get…to visit…to indulge…to revel in all it’s charm, excitement, elegance.

It’s like a good kiss, leaving you wanting more (wink, wink).  Or a good pair of heels – making you feel alive, desirable, and rocking all in one moment without a bit of hesitation.

I adore you New York…even when, baby, you’re cold out side. **

Thank you for the visit.

See you again soon. <3 me.

nyc.

loved it. i was like a kid in a candy store for the first time.

the lights, the people, the buildings. it was love at first sight. i fell hard. i might just have to move there (don’t cringe everyone).

i can’t wait to go back for the thanksgiving day parade and to see some sights since this trip was an up and back.

lombardi was F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. it was like being transported back to wisconsin. you can’t deny the pride of being a packer’s fan!

happy times.

lombardi – the man.

i never win anything. nothing. ever.

i blog – obviously – so i follow other people’s blogs too. one in particular is (NO) sex in the city by natalie hill. she’s great. honest. real. entertaining. and now she gave me a give-a-way!

i have been dying to see lombardi (go packers!!) the new broadway show about vince and his life. not to mention i have been dying to go to nyc.

yes, you guessed it. she chose me for the tickets. so sara and i are headed to nyc for a quick 24 hour trip to see the show and head back home.

isn’t life grand. who would have guessed. i love spur of the moment opportunities.

a weekend of fun!

Need I say more. If you know me at all you know why this is so horrifying.

Some interesting appendages (greeted by the sight of the great giant struggling to escape

earthly bounds depicted in Seward Johnson’s evocative sculpture “The Awakening”) at National Harbor.

This years Halloween costume??

A night out dancing in downtown DC.

Cruising home. And much needed sleep.
