this little girl made my night…

she gave lots of hugs and kisses

told me she missed me and loved me:)

i got to read her 5 books before bed

have about 7 recordings of her singing the “months” song on my cell phone

said night time prayers

and felt some real love from a little girl who knew this big girl needed it.

rockin’ good time in idaho.

lise, her kids – ethan and nichols – and I spent the weekend in idaho rock climbing.

it was technically my first time climbing and now i’m addicted.

i climbed a 10b, 5-7, 10a but i went up the 10b side by accident, & 9-slab.

i also learned to belay.

it really was amazing…i loved it because it’s all i could focus on…i couldn’t think about all the stresses in life as i had to focus on where my feet and hands were going to go.

i’m officially hooked…so glad i joined the utah rock climbing club!

however, i do look like i got beat up – from bruises on my feet, knees, thighs, and elbows – well worth it!

enjoy the pics and videos.

Is it too late to post about July 4th?

Too bad!

I spent the day biking to Utah Lake with Lise.

Lise reminds me of my mom because they both love to talk to random strangers – where I’m totally introverted!

We took a little break from our bike ride and Lise struck up a conversation with two women who were kayaking. She convinced them to let us take their kayaks for a swim. Go figure.

We managed NOT to tip over either.

Great day, especially the yummy cook out by Lise’s brother-in-law, Jesse.

Can’t wait for the weekend!

Rock climbing in Idaho with Lise and the climbing club.

Hanging out with Jodi on Saturday or Sunday.

Learning the new Family History Program on Sunday.

What a way to enjoy life in Utah.

I’m a lucky girl.

Yanni, yup, I said Yanni

Last week, Lise, her family and I went to see the Yanni Voices Concert in SLC.

Never in a million, ok, two-billion years did I ever think I’d be at a Yanni concert.

The real reason we went is because Lise’s family friend Nathan Pacheco was one of his featured singers.

Yanni was a character. His hand movements were enough to keep me laughing all night.

The brunette signer was a cross between Marie Osmond and Miley Cyrus.

But Nathan made the show.

Wow. He can sign.

He’s better than Josh – really.

Great experience. So blessed to have friends like Lise and her family.
