i will be in the great state of wisconsin.
you have NO idea how excited i am to see my family and friends. it’s been so long – almost 2 years really.
i needed to go home and get a breath of fresh air.
i can’t wait for the laughter, craziness, reminiscing, eating, and driving up and down the state to be sure to hit all the loves.
watch out wisconsin – here i come!

sorry to be mia but i took a social media hiatus – so to speak.
i have some of the most wonderful – fabulous – dedicated – loving – giving friends in the world.
i had been held up sick for more than a week and couldn’t have gotten through it without them.
it’s such a blessing to know you are loved.

baby shower is right.
it POURED.
storms rolled through as we were setting up -
the power went out…
stayed out through the entire shower!
tj was a gem helping all the ladies come into the house.
we had a great time anyway.
jodi was so excited for all the wonderful gifts for baby boy scheide.
plus we had yummy desserts.
plus we had a sweet owl theme in blues, greens and oranges.
the chocolate cake was a hit.
it was a new recipe from i am baker.
jodi is such a wonderful woman and friend.
she’s going to be a great mama.
by the way, this was not your typical shower!
besides the rain and no lights – shower by candlelight
we “partied” until 1:45am!

good friends when…
here’s the story:
i’m planning jodi’s baby shower for the end of the month.
we had spoken earlier in the day after her hair appointment because you see we go to the same person.
i came home after running errands and such
and of course hopped online to figure out my theme
where i was going to get stuff
on and on and on
i found this super cute diaper “cake” and it had the baby’s name on it
so i picked up the phone to call jodi to see if she and tj were “releasing” the name of the baby before he was born
(in case you’re wondering the answer is no)
jodi said, i was just about to call you
i said, why?
she said, i’m on etsy looking at baby stuff!
i said , shut the front door! so am i
we got a good laugh and couldn’t believe we were doing the exact same thing at the exact same time and were both thinking of each other.
there aren’t many friends you will have that are with you through thick and thin
who love you with all your faults and crazies
i can think of only a handful in my own life.
jodi is one of those people – this is why we are good friends
aside from the four thousand other reason
and the fact that we have a connection when surfing the web.
can’t wait to meet you baby scheide!

i’m at home watching sears clean my carpets. then it’s a run and off to see harry potter.
