Happy Valentine’s Day!

A Hallmark holiday, right? A holiday that many single people tend NOT to be big fans of, right?

No big Valentine in my life this year…don’t feel bad, I’m actually more loved than if I had a date (or at least I think so right now;)).

Plus, I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I am grateful for all the past relationships I’ve had because of what I’ve learned about my self and about what I want and need.

So I just wanted to tell all those in my life who mean the world to me how much I love them…there are several who have been there for me when I needed it the most.

Disclaimer, these are in no particular order:
1. Mom – for taking my calls in the middle of the night, loving me unconditionally, forgiving me and making me laugh at myself and at you.

2. Tony – for being the kind of brother that drives me crazy but deep down loves me enough to be proud of me that he secretly brags about me.

3. Jasmine – for being the love of my life and she’s not even my 7 year old. She reminds me about why life is worth living!

4. Onalee – for reminding me how lucky I really am and to listen to my own advice.

5. Adam W. – for letting me hang up on him and he still calls back…a true sign of love for your friend.

6. Lindsay & Josh – for lending me there baby to get snuggles and laughs, for watching out for me and being solid.

7. Jamie P. – for listening to my calls in the middle of the day, for trusting me with those fun secrets, and for blessing me with the joy of hanging out with Jack and Max (p.s. and her husband who tolerates me:))

8. Becky H. – for being one of the funniest people I know, being my “do NOT call” girl and forgiving me when I fail.

9. Becky – for being my only “sister” and loving me like one even though she has two of her own.

10. Jason and Clint – for being the guys in my life that keep me on my toes and make me blush.

11. Corinne & Kristi – for being amazing friends and sounding boards, for teaching me how to be a good mom (someday)

12. Jacque & Dean – for being the best 2nd family a girl could ask for, for teasing me to help make me feel like I’m home.

11. Marla – for seriously cracking me up like no one else in the world ever could.

12. Victoria – for loving me just by watching me watch TV and for never letting me down.

13. Linda – for being the best mentor a young professional could ask for, giving me so many opportunities and understanding why I had to go.

14. Erin, Karen and JW – for making the last 5 years some of the very best ever…words can’t do it justice.

15. Heather – for being a friend, an outlet to vent…we were always meant to be friends (maybe that’s why we got here that way)…it’s great we think the same.

16. Chris – for being the best guy friend over the last 26 years.

17. The Medicine Lake Young Women – they just make me happy and make me young…wait I’m not old! :)

18. Grandma – for always taking my side even when I’m wrong, for being so proud of me and making sure my head didn’t get to big.

19. Jaimie – for never forgetting that she owes me for making her life better…actually it’s probably the other way around, 10th floor and my 21st…not to mention the multiple things we can not talk about.

20. Talise – for rocking, plain and simple…for always writing back and making me stronger.

21. Wes & Matt – for loving sushi and being my big brothers.

22. Tana, Braden & the kids – for letting me be the auntie under the blanket.

23. David -for being the best coop planner I know, for being the best estate sale buddy, and for making me laugh at all the crazy people we know.

24. Danielle – for making my brother happy.

25. Jodi – for reminding me that I’m perfect just the way I am and of course reminding me about checking yes or no (let’s just hope some day it’s YES).

And for all those other wonderful people in my life that I didn’t mention today…you’re shout out will come, don’t worry.

What the freak! Jamie is #7 and I don’t even make the list. Unbelievable. I break into your house at the drop of the hat, doesn’t that mean anything? ;)

Happy Valentines Day. Some dude is missing out.

JP…you sensitive guy…if only you had set me up then maybe you’d get a shout out;) Don’t forget I brought your wife flowers, brought her medicine and bandages for her finger and sat with her when you were gone:) Not to mention I got to take Jack to church with me:) LOL…

However, how could I possibly neglect the fact that you changed my license plates, you did break into my house to get my letter from BYU, you like to break into my “private dating life” and add your two cents, you tolerated me at your house weekly, if not daily on occasion, and that the best part of you – that you were wise enough to marry Jamie!

You so deserve to be on my list, my bad! Please forgive me and on that note, put your wife on a plane to come see me! :)

BTW, I did the disclaimer there was no particular order silly!

  5. Mom February 15 2009 @ 11:38 am

  6. Onalee February 15 2009 @ 7:11 pm

    Em-

Thanks for thinking of me…….in any order!!! :)

Listen. He’s out there and he’s looking for you. Maybe you won’t find him until you’re 35. Maybe you won’t find him until you’re 40. Maybe it will be next week. All I know is that whenever you do find him……you will know….and the time “before” him…won’t matter…because it will be all about the future.

You have so much to offer. Don’t settle. Believe that he will show up. Don’t keep what isn’t right. Remember that he is looking for you too. :)

I agree with you 100% – things happen for a reason. I found this by accident and noticed that we have some things in common. Thats what I love about the Internet, every blog is like a box of chocolates :) Thanks – Great blog.
