Super Saturday Dance Show

On Saturday, September 17th, I participated in my first ever dance show! It was called "Super Saturday" and was held at the Arthur Murray's Dance Studio in Edina. I danced two dances...the Rumba- "Making Memories of Us" by Keith Urban and the Waltz - "The Book of Love" from the Shall We Dance sound track.

So who was my partner you ask...my dance teacher Andy Popp. I can't officially make any comments about him on here just in case he ever checks the site. LOL. The night was really fun. I forgot what it was like to perform but it started to come back to me. I'm working on uploading the video from the show...so stay tuned.

All my friends came to watch as well...Adam, Jenny, Karen, Stacey, Victoria, and Wendy (Karen's mom). They even got nod-out from Jesse the owner of the studio for being such a great cheering section.

Me and Andy practicing before everything started.

This is at the beginning of our Rumba.

We do this little rock thing in our dance...I know, I know...I should know the proper name of the move...but that's what I have a dance instructor for. Anyway, this move always makes me laugh.

Us again!

Some more Rumba...I enjoyed this dance a lot.
I still am up in the air as to what style is my favorite though.

This is the beginning of our Waltz...We were re-playing the scene from Shall We Dance when Richard Gere comes up the escalator. We had the flower and everything of in the rush to change outfits between dances I forgot the flower:(

Doing a turn...

I just love the Waltz...

Yes, I realize this is not me...but I couldn't resist. This is Karen giving it a try.
